Hope you’re having a lovely day and are starting to feel properly festive 👀
With Christmas coming this Thursday, I think it’s pretty safe to say what the theme of today’s blog is all going to be about. So, without further ado, let’s jump into some of my thoughts for the big Xmas of 2025.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
Christmas has come around already, who would have guessed? Well, saying as I was called Sweeney Claus when I was in London last, it’s pretty obvious that I’ve been well into the festive season 😂
I do love this time of year. While the weather is rather shocking, it’s one of the times when a lot of your family and friends are off work and can spend intentional time together. Whether that’s at the pub watching the darts, catching up over a coffee, meeting up to exchange presents or even having a chat over the phone – it’s such a lovely thing to be able to do.
For me, I’ll be working tomorrow morning, and then it’s off until next Monday, and then after that, I’ll be free until we come back in 2026. I’m not going to lie to you, I am very much looking forward to a good old break, it is well overdue.
As well as being a time to come together and celebrate with those around you, the festive season is also a great time to remember those who are no longer with us – the lessons they shared, the love they gave, and the immense impact they’ve had on your lives. I’ll be raising a glass for Nana, Cap and Grampa, that’s for sure. Just like every year 🍻
All that’s left to say is Merry Christmas, everyone/ Nadolig Llawen pawb. I hope you have a wonderful time, however you choose to spend it!
