Good morning,
Hope you’re having a fab day so far 🙂
I’ve been running Sweeney’s Blogs for over five and a half years, and I’ve learnt so much along the way. We’ll break down the difference between page views and page visitors in today’s blog, sharing what it means for you and for bloggers running their pages.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
When you start a blog or website, it can be easy to become lost in the analytics and not have the foggiest about what they mean. You have to wrestle with a whole array of different terminology, figuring out what it means, how you can manage it and the impact it can have on your audience.

Here’s a little breakdown of the difference between page views and page visitors ⤵️
🧑💻 Page Visitors – each unique visitor that clicks onto your website
👨💻 Page Views – each individual page clicked onto by a visitor
Let’s add some examples for context:
👉 Say you visit Sweeney’s Blogs and click on five different posts, that would be one page visitor (you) and five page views (the number of pages you loaded)
👉If 10 people click your website, with five of them viewing one additional page, that would be 10-page visitors and 15-page views
While this might seem like a small difference, it does play an important role in how you monitor your analytics. Depending on how you evaluate the effectiveness of your content, understanding the difference helps you make better decisions and more targeted strategies.

What do you think of posts like this? I tested this out on my LinkedIn a couple of weeks ago, however, thought that they could be an interesting read for you all here on the page. If you are interested in seeing more posts like this moving forward, I’d be more than happy to share them with you all 🙂
For now, though, that’s all for today’s blog, what do you think? Would you like to see more blogging posts? What sort of content do you enjoy reading?
I’d love to hear what you think.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
