Happy Birthday Sweeney’s Blogs!

I’m delighted to announce that Sweeney’s Blogs officially turns six years old today! We’re going to be taking a look at this milestone and my thoughts about it all in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Starting the page on the 3rd of February 2019, I could not be prouder of how far the page has come so far. At the time, I was living with my first year flatmates at University, who have gone on to become such good friends of mine – feel super happy that I’m still in touch with some of them to this day 🙂

It’s way more than just a blog to me, it’s a platform dedicated to discussing the topics that genuinely matter to us as people. I never set out to make a singular page, I wanted to help shape a community of people who want to support one another, to enable one another to be seen, heard and valued – to watch that vision continue to become a reality is absolutely incredible.

With my blogs, I strive to combine personal stories with proven research, to present a fair and real view of the world around us. Covering topics ranging from stuttering to culture, the Olympics to philosophy, there is, hopefully, something for everyone here on the page 🌍

Guest blogs/writers are something that I’d love to have more of going forward – if you know anybody who could be of interest, be sure to let me know. The team and I have come such a long way over the years, it would be great to have some extra faces join us if you’re interested 🙂
