Hope you’ve had a great week so far!
2025 came to a close not too long ago, the sixth year that Sweeney’s Blogs has been running. Can you believe it? As is tradition here on the page, we’re going to be taking a look at how this brilliant blog and community have done over the last 12 months.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
As I mentioned in the introduction, I’ve been running this page for over six years now, and with our seventh birthday coming in less than a month – I’m sure you can imagine I’ve done a fair few blogs like this before. To help keep things fresh though, I might mix things up for how we do 2025’s – we’ll see how we go now 👀
So, to kick things off, let’s take a look at some of our top stats from the last year:
- 11,400 views from over 5,900 visitors
- Views from over 130 different countries – okay, this is actually crazy. I knew that we’d reached over 120 countries over the last couple of years, but to have this many in one year is astounding. I couldn’t be more grateful for you all.
- 105 new blog posts – containing a total of over 42,000 words. Now that’s a lot of typing 😂
- 262 likes on published blogs
We’ve chatted about everything from book reviews to my weekends away with the Undefinable Community, from blogs about my US tour to how my stitter has improved such a lot in recent years. My content has felt a lot more personal over the last year or so, which is 100% what I was setting out to do at the start of 2025.
Looking ahead to 2026, I don’t have a clue where we’ll end up. What I do know, though, is that we’ll be growing the entire time, supporting one another and helping this page to become a community where people can come together, chat about the things that genuinely matter to them and make a real, tangiuble and positive change to our lives.
When I look back on everything the page has done in its somewhat short lifespan, there’s this feeling of pride which always comes to mind. Starting Sweeney’s Blogs was one of the best things I have ever done, something I will forever be grateful for.
So, all that’s left to say for today is a huge cheers! By that, I mean a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you that’s supported the page along its journey throughout 2025. You’re the reason I’m able to make the content that I do, so thank you so much.
