Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you’re all having a stellar start to the weekend 🙂
When I was younger, everybody used to tell me that I had a crazy imagination, and do you know what, they weren’t wrong. It was from this imagination that I created my very own cinema, do you want to find out more? Well then, let’s get into it in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
When I was growing up, I used to have a wardrobe opposite my bed, covered with various stickers. Each night, before I went to bed, I used to unwind and make up all sorts of stories using the stickers, imagining all kinds of magical people, monsters and faraway lands.

Whether it was an adventure through the crystal caves, the journey of a boy who could control dreams or a young dragon’s quest to find fire, Sweeney’s Cinema had it all. Sometimes, I would base the stories off of real experiences that I faced, something that I had recently learned or sometimes, the ideas would honestly just come from anywhere – I don’t really know how I did it!
My family members used to love bedtime, as they never knew what kind of story they were going to get. I suppose that it was this kind of storytelling that ignited my passion for fiction books in a more general sense, having stories that were not constrained to what we deem as being possible in our day-to-day lives. Don’t get me wrong, I love reading different nonfiction books too, but when you get to share the magic that is a solid work of fiction, there’s something so special about it all.

Thinking back on it all, those days could have been what started my passion for storytelling and content creation. If I can capture a fragment of the magic from younger James’s imagination and storytelling, whether that is in my work got Jargon, my blogs here on Sweeney’s Blogs, my posts over on my LinkedIn profile or even just in a wider sense going forward, then I really couldn’t ask for more.
That’s all for today,s blog, what do you think? Do you think that I should release some of younger Sweeney’s stories one day? What kickstarted your passion for storytelling? What sort of stories do you like to tell people?
I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
Thanks a lot for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
