Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you’re keeping well 🙂
Last weekend, 22 of us from the Undefinable Community travelled over to Suffolk for our Winter Retreat – our first-weekend trip of 2025. We’ll take a look at how the trip went and some of the things we got up to in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
If you haven’t heard of the Undefinable Community, we provide intimate spaces for those who intentionally live beyond conventional labels to collectively empower our creativity, authenticity and capability. The community has been going for nearly two years now, with our second birthday coming this March.

We have loads of different events and clubs going on each week, and then once a quarter, we go for a weekend away somewhere. These “retreats” are the perfect time to catch up with some incredible people, take part in crazy activities and have a whale of a time.
This trip, beautifully organised by two of our members, Rachel and John, was focused on our shared value of Emotional Bravery – as Head of Welfare in the community, this was right up my street!
Here’s some of what we got up to ⤵️
🙏 Had plenty of downtime to relax, walk, unwind, make space for each other and have some fantastic catch-ups
🧑🍳 Jack, Jamie, Kyle, Tom and I were on the cooking team, in charge of preparing breakfasts and a lovely Greek night for Saturday, cooking up some chicken souvlaki with halloumi, roasted courgettes for veggies and a whole load more
🤹 Played pool, learnt to juggle (which I failed miserably at, sorry Molly), chilled in the hot tub, chilled in the ice baths (not for me I’m afraid) and a whole load more
🗣️ Practiced public speaking, shared stories from our lives and connected over the experiences that have shaped us into who we are today
Looking back on it all, I couldn’t be more grateful to have spent such a lovely weekend with such wonderful people.
I like to take some time during these breaks to sit back and watch how everyone is getting along and how different people interact – it’s so nice to see people feel so comfortable and valued, whether they are in big or small groups, it’s amazing.

A special shoutout to my friend Kyle for letting me stay with him last Thursday to help break up the seven-hour drive – I am very very grateful.
That’s all for today’s blog, what do you think? Do you enjoy these trip summary posts? Are there any topics you’d like to see me explore on the page?
I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
