A Sweeney in New York City?!

Good morning,

Hope you’re keeping well 🙂

Two weeks ago, I spent five and a half days in New York, as part of my mini-tour around the USA. We’re going to take a look at some of the things I got up to there in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

When I was originally planning to visit the US, I somehow thought I’d condense the entire two-week holiday into one post, covering everything I saw and did during my time there – how misguided I was!

Honestly, I managed to get so much done during my trip to the States, it wouldn’t do any justice to condense it all into one post. I’ll be doing little wrap-up posts for the next two to three weeks or so, taking a look at the first part of the trip in New York for you all today. Stay tuned for the others, they’ll be live on here soon 🙌

I had a whale of a time, seeing over 25 different famous spots during my time there. Here are some of my highlights:

🖼️ Art and Culture – Checking out the American Museum of Natural History, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) and The Museum of Modern Art (The MoMA)

🎭 Broadway – Getting to watch Hamilton and Gyspy live on Broadway, talk about insane talent and world-class performances

🗽 Famous Landmarks – Visiting the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station and Central Park

🕊️ Peace and Respect – Seeing the 9/11 Memorials and Museum was beyond powerful, it’s something you’ve got to see and can truly never forget

Well, that’s a little wrap-up on the New York part of my trip. I have a load more stories to tell from it all, so we’ll see where they go with different posts moving forward – keep your eyes peeled for them 👀

Until next time, that’s all for today’s blog. What do you think? Have you ever been to New York? What’s one place you’ve loved visiting lately?

I’d love to hear your thoughts ⤵️

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
