Good morning everyone,
Hope you’re having a lovely start to the week 🙂
Okay, the title of this blog is not quite correct, but I did get to visit Princeton for the day on Saturday, the 25th of May (which just so happened to be graduation day!). We’ll take a look at how it all went in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
After spending five and a half days in New York, I was looking for a more relaxed day, something quieter, that would give me space to reflect and recharge before continuing with my trip. Princeton delivered that in spades.

I saw the beautiful architecture of the campus, from the Nassau Hall to the University Chapel, the Rothschild Arch to the Prospect Garden and more. Princeton has a gothic-inspired architecture, with a modern twang to it. I chilled in the Prospect Garden for around an hour or so, it was such a calming and relaxing place, with a fountain in the middle, surrounded by plants of all colours and shapes.
As it was graduation, I got to check out the famous P-rade, seeing former alumni coming together to celebrate each other’s achievements 😎

There was also a little Battle of the Bands going on, so I got to watch the class of ’95’s Blues/Jazz band play for an hour, which was amazing! I hadn’t planned for a graduation, a parade, or a jazz band, but that’s life for you. Sometimes the best moments are the ones you never see coming 🤷♂️
Princeton turned out to be exactly what I needed, providing me with a much-needed break before I moved on to Philly for the next couple of days.
That’s all for today’s blog. What do you think? Have you got any exciting trips coming soon? What’s a place you’d love to visit one day?
I’d love to hear your thoughts ⤵️
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
