My 2025 New Year’s Resolutions – 6 Months In…

Hope you’re doing well today 🙂

We’re over halfway into 2025 already… how on earth has that happened? As we’ve just passed the six-month mark, it’s time for my quarterly update to see how I’m progressing with my goals for this year.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

At the start of each year, I like to take some time to reflect on my journey over the last 12 months, as I set my thinking ahead to whatever the next year will have in store. As we’re entering July, I think it’s worth seeing how January-June has gone for us so far.

So, how are we doing? Let’s take a look:

🗣️ Do at least 2-3 bits of public speaking – this hasn’t really changed since the 3-month mark, so we’re still on 1/2 pieces for this year so far. My speech has been really solid overall, though, which is always fab to see

🌱 Focus on mindfulness – I’ve started to make some progress here; however, with so much change in my working life, it took a slight back seat. I’m going to carry on getting meditation and journaling back into my subconscious routine over the next quarter 🙂

🚗 Have loads of little adventures – so far this year, I’ve had a trip to Valencia, small breaks to London, Kent and Suffolk, as well as a two-week mini tour of the US. I’m also going away to Tunisia when this blog gets published, which I’ll do a full wrap-up of when I get back

👋 Meet up with more friends and connections in person – I got to meet up with so many amazing people on my trips to the US and my last London trip, which was a whole load of fun – lots more of these meet-ups and good times to come, I’m sure

📚 Read at least 50 books – I’m currently reading book 39 for the year, so I am well on track for smashing through this target!
