On Wednesday, I turned 27 years old. Scary times indeed! We’re going to be taking a look at some of my thoughts about this birthday and how I’m thinking of the next 12 months, in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
I know what you’re thinking, “Sweeney, you don’t look a day over 26.” Firstly, thanks a million, and secondly, it’s true, I’m now officially in chapter 27 of this crazy little thing called life.
The last couple of years have been a whirlwind, filled with more crazy memories, good times and adventures than I can count. I’ve said it a couple of times on the page over the years, in life, we honestly don’t have a clue what’s coming next.
To each and every person I’ve met along the way, thank you for being there, for being a part of the journey. I could chat for hours about the people I’ve met over the last few years, from colleagues to friends, role models, teachers, mentees – the list does well and truly go on.
Every single person has brought something new to the table, all of which has helped to continually shape me into who I am today, who I’ll be tomorrow, the next day and the day after that.
One thing I’ve been working on lately is being more intentional with messaging people, to let them know I appreciate them and what they bring to my life. It seems like such a simple thing to do, but I think it’s something that’s so easy to accidentally forget to do, so I’m setting out to change it.
Moving forward, I’m sure it’s something I’m going to get a lot better at. As always, I’ll keep you updated with how it goes, what I learn along the way and any other general madness that happens.
