Good morning π
How’s your day going so far?
I’m officially on the lookout for my next role! While the job market isn’t in the best of places at the moment, I thought we could use this blog to share why it’s such an exciting time, which I’m going into with an open and positive mind. So, let’s get cracking π
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
For those who donβt know me, Iβm a communications and content professional from the Swansea valleys with experience across all things comms, PR and social. How we communicate with one another, whether vocally or otherwise, has been something that’s always fascinated me – here’s a little bit why:

Growing up with a stutter, I know what it feels like not to have a voice. It’s a strange feeling – particularly when you know exactly what it is that you want to say; however, there’s this mysterious force that’s stopping, or at least making it more difficult, for you to be heard.
Thatβs why I care so much about helping people and businesses find theirs, to create messaging that makes a positive change in the world. I feel like, before we carry on, it’s only right to share a bit about me.
If you know me, you might know some of this, but you never know, there may be a surprise in there! Here’s a little bit about me:
βοΈ Content Creation β Over seven years of experience across blogging, social and PR. I’ve seen firsthand the impact that stories can have on people’s lives when told in the right way.
π Relationship Building β I’m in my element when it comes to networking, getting to know people, and building real, long-term relationships. I love chatting away to people, finding out their stories, what’s shaped them into who they are today, as well as their plans and aspirations for the future.
πΊ Vibes β From making top-tier hot chocolates to shamelessly singing cheesy classics, Iβll make the corny jokes, so you donβt have to. You’ll very quickly learn that us Sweeney’s aren’t a quiet bunch, but we can be a load of fun to have around.

Alongside my roles, Iβve been a keen mentor with One Million Mentors, and I love attending events like Social Media Conference Cymru. I like keeping busy, with all of my roles being focused on people, culture and creating those genuine moments of connection.
When it comes to where I’m looking to take my career next, Iβm particularly interested in roles across the comms space, especially where thereβs variety in the day-to-day.

Iβm especially interested in the charity and social impact space, or working with businesses making a real difference, particularly across Wales.
That said, Iβm open to opportunities further afield in places like London too, for the right role and team.
If you, or anybody that you know, know of any roles, people, or companies I should be chatting to, Iβd really appreciate it π
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
