He’s only gone and done it…

I’m thrilled to announce that last Monday, I was told that I was being promoted to Account Executive at The Jargon Group! We’re going to be breaking down some of my thoughts on this achievement in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Joining in November 2022, working at Jargon was my first post-university job and I was super excited to get into it. Having worked in the comms industry for many years, through my placement year at the University of Reading, my work with social media content creation and blogging, I was looking forward to delving into the world of PR and seeing what it had in store for me.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients from all over the world, from Barcelona to the United States, the Netherlands and more, it’s been a fantastic learning experience. It’s been a crazy old journey, I can’t believe how far I have come in such a short space of time, the growth that I’ve had, whether it’s in my writing, self-confidence, account management or something completely different, is astounding, to say the least.

Studying IT and computer science a lot over the last couple of years, it has been amazing to enter the working world in a role where I can combine my love of technology with my passions for communications and helping others – it’s a win-win when you think about it 😎

The last 17 months haven’t been the easiest for me personally, however, I’m super happy that I’ve persevered through it and continued to work on improving myself wherever I can. I’ve always prided myself on being incredibly resilient, and I would say that a lot of that comes down to my grandparents, who have helped shape me into the person that I am today – I could not have done all of this without their care, kindness and support over the years.

I’d like to say a big thanks to the team at Jargon for all of the continued help and support, I really do appreciate it!

Let’s see what else 2024 has in store then – I’m sure it’s going to be a cracking year 🙂
