I hope you’re having a brilliant start to the week 🙂

Two weeks ago, I met my friend Aidan in person for the first time, which was absolutely amazing! We’re going to be taking a close look at what made this so special and memorable in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

I originally met Aidan on LinkedIn in May 2022, when he commented on a post I shared about my grandmother. I dropped him a message and we instantly started chatting, sharing parts of our backgrounds (as Aidan lives out in the US and I’m in the Swansea valleys), our interests and some of our plans for the future. It’s very safe to say that we quickly became very good friends.

Aidan was relatively new to posting on LinkedIn at the time, watching the growth and success he’s had there over the last two years has been beyond amazing. Whether it’s his personal posts or his work for, an online marketing company, The Marketing Millennials, he is crushing it!

A couple of weeks ago, while we were catching up over a virtual call, Aidan mentioned that he was coming to London soon. He was heading to Ireland first to explore where some of his family came from (which strangely enough isn’t too far away from where my grandfather grew up) before flying to London for a week or so – luck had it that it was the exact weekend I was coming too 🤯

We met up for some coffee and had some great chats about content creation, travelling, our families and more. Aidan is such a lovely guy on and offline, I’m super grateful to have met him and to have someone like him in my corner!

Here’s to more awesome meet-ups and good times this year – I’ll have to try and fly out to Baltimore to see Aidan’s neck of the woods one day too – I haven’t properly gone to the States yet, apart from some awesome Disney holidays, so it’ll be great to properly explore some of them 🕺
