Reflecting on Sweeney’s Blogs in 2024

Hope you’re having a good start to the day 🙂

At the start of each year, I like to take some time out to reflect on the previous 12 months, before we look ahead to whatever the future will hold. With this in mind, let’s take a look at how 2024 was for us here on Sweeney’s Blogs with you all in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Looking back over 2024, we’ve explored so many different topics, had a brand-new writer join the page, had viewers from across the globe and so much more. I am so proud of how far this page has come over the last couple of years, watching the page grow into what it is today over the last five to six years has been phenomenal, words will never do justice to how I feel about it all.

I always try to be as honest as I can with you all, about who I am, how I’m feeling and how the page is performing on the whole. With this in mind, here is a quick summary of how Sweeney’s Blogs performed over 2024:

Over 12,100 total views from 5,700+ unique visitors and 110+ countries
151 blog post likes
105 blog posts
43,000 published words

When it comes to the kind of topics we’ve spoken about this year, we have been well and truly spoilt for choice. Some of the topics covered include:

🌍 Culture and Community – Sharing the story of Mari Lwyd, visiting art museums and exhibits and helping to build the Undefinable Community, I’ve learnt so much and have been inspired massively throughout this year

🌱 Personal Development – Public speaking to mentoring, actioning my New Year’s Resolutions to understanding myself more as a person

🧘‍♂️ Poetry and Mindfulness – I’ve taken some time to delve back into poetry, meditation and other mindfulness practises, sharing them with all of you wherever I can

💙 Mental Health and Wellbeing – From raising awareness about mental health to sharing my stories of grief, showing a real and progressive narrative for the role that mental health and wellbeing has played (and I am sure will continue to play) in my life

Looking ahead to the new year, I’m going to try and get some extra guest writers/blogs here on the page. I feel like they do such a good job of shining a spotlight on different perspectives, topics and experiences, which is what this page is all about at the end of the day.

Before I close off today’s blog, I just want to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who has helped the page along its journey so far – I couldn’t do this without all of you and I really appreciate all of the support!
