CIPR 3rd Cycle ✅

Good morning everyone,

Hope you’re having a lovely day 🙂

Two weeks back, I completed my third cycle of CPD, which has accredited me for another year with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. We’re going to be taking a look at what this means and my thoughts on it in today’s blog.

Working in communications for the past six years, with two and a half years most recently in PR, has been a massive learning curve so far 🎢

For those of you who don’t know, the CIPR is one of the professional bodies for PR practitioners, much like the ACA is for accountants. PR professionals must complete 60 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, in order to continue their membership. After you complete two year’s worth of these (with each year referred to as a cycle), you become accredited, which you renew each year.

This CPD cycle gave me the chance to dive into some great topic areas: from crisis comms and social media strategy to inclusive communications, Google Analytics, and so much more. I covered these in a load of different formats, from online recorded sessions to skills guides, articles and much more.

Working in PR and communications, where no two days are the same, it’s incredibly important to keep up with an industry that’s always developing. Adaptability is one of the most valuable traits in the modern world, allowing people to adapt to and lead this charge for change in a calm, informed and positive approach.

Here’s to another year of growth, opportunities and learning to come 🍻

That’s all for today’s blog, what do you think? How’s your week ahead looking? Do you have any topics you’d like to see me explore here on the page?

I’d love to hear your thoughts ⤵️

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
