Three Questions to Check in with Yourself

Life moves fast. Work, plans, messages, appointments, if you’re not careful, everything can start to pile up week after week. How often do you take a little break from it all to reflect on how you’re actually feeling and how the last few days have gone?

Well, if this resonates with you, then today’s blog is going to be right up your street. I’m going to be sharing three questions that you can use to check in with yourself regularly 🙂

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Over the last couple of years, I’ve been testing out ways to reflect and unwind from the day-to-day craziness of life. Not in a big, dramatic “new year, new me” sort of way, but through three little questions. Questions that help me pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters.

So, here are some questions you can ask yourself regularly:

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Who’s one person you’re grateful to have spoken to or caught up with lately?

🧠 What’s one memory that you’ve been reminded of recently?

🎯 What’s something you’re working towards right now, big or small?

You don’t need a big reason to ask yourself these kinds of questions. Sometimes, it’s just about checking in, quietly, honestly, and seeing where you’re at. So if you’re reading this and fancy a quick reset, try answering one of them. Or all three. There’s no wrong way to reflect.

What I used to do for this kind of thing was to keep track of my answers over a week, then reflect on them all at the end of the week. That way, I can compare how I was feeling each day to how I was in the week overall and see if I can spot any patterns or trends in what I was thinking or feeling 🙂

If you do decide to give these a go, be sure to let me know your answers – I’d love to hear them 🙏

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you again soon!
