Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
My first article is called “Food, feelings… and that’s the point.“
It takes a look at how food is more than something we eat – how it creates comfort, holds memories, and brings people together. The blog was inspired by two books that I’ve seen and/or read lately, focused on the stories that exist within the foods we eat 🍽️

I’ll be writing more pieces soon, exploring the role of comms in the food and drink industry, and how brands can tell the real stories behind their products. As you can tell from the above photo, I do love my food, so this should be a whole lot of fun to get stuck into moving forward.
The photo was taken from my recent US trip, when I went to watch the Orioles baseball game live in Baltimore and got to try out crab for the first time, which turned out to taste great!

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, big thanks to the Launch team for bringing me in on this. I’m looking forward to seeing what ideas and pieces we can collaborate on moving forward.
