Good morning,
Hope you’re well today 🙂
Last weekend, I went up to London for the weekend, coworking, catching up with friends and a whole load more. We’ll take a look at some of what I got up to in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
Every three months, I like to try and get a London trip in the diary – a little break away that lets me catch up with friends, treat myself and have a couple of days away from my usual life. I’ve been doing these for over two and a half years now, and they make for such fab memory-making experiences.

So, what did I get up to this time around? Here are my highlights ⤵️
🌅 Thursday afternoon – I got to meet James, the Founder of Reak View Marketing, whom I’ve been working with for the last couple of months, in person for the first time, to do some co-working near West Hampstead.
🌃 Thursday evening – some friends and I met up to solve an escape room in an envelope game, which was a load of fun. It included loads of different clues, thatw e had to solve in a particular order to complete the challenge. We were given between 60-90 minutes to finish it in and managed to get it all done in 36 minutes!
🙌 Friday morning – I got to meet up with my first client in person at RVM. It’s always so nice to meet clients and the team in person – it really helps take the relationship to another level, which is awesome to see
🧑💻 Friday afternoon – I went over to Farringdon to do a bit of co-working with my mates Gareth and Ryan, staying behind after to play a few games of pool. Trips to Farringdon are awesome, especially as it’s an excuse to go to the Leather Lane food market at lunch 😉
I also got to catch up with my mate Jay, whom I haven’t seen since we were both in New York back in May – crazy times!
🥐 Saturday morning – Hassan and I met up for our new annual fab catch-up near Brick Lane. It’s cool to mix up where I see people on these trips, I’ve seen so many interesting London spots over the years, and there are so many left to be explored moving forward
🚶➡️ Saturday afternoon – My friend Joe Akik and I met up for one of our classic walks and talks around Tottenham Court Road and a couple of parks around London. Our walks typically go on for miles; it’s a nice excuse to get out and about for a little while
😂 Saturday evening – Gareth and I went to watch a comedy show at the Secret Comedy Club, which was a great laugh. Our lovely friend Rachel joined us for a few drinks afterwards around Tottenham Court Road, before we all headed back home
👋 Sunday afternoon – I had a long overdue catch-up with a friend called Derin, who I haven’t seen since we were both back at the University of Reading. I love seeing how much has changed since we left uni. It’s not been that long in reality; however, everyone has gone on to do some great things. Like always, I managed to get a Foyles trip into the plan after the catch-up, chilling out surrounded by some brilliant books
🎥 Sunday evening – I went to watch “One Battle After Another”, with some friends in Islington – what a masterpiece of a film it was too!
Looking back through the above list, I don’t think I could have fitted more into the trip if I tried. I think this one has got to take the cake for the busiest London trip that I have had to date, it was el loco 🤣
That’s all for today’s blog. What do you think? What’s been your favourite memory made over the last couple of months?
I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
James
