How’s your weekend started?
Well, 2026 is upon us – who’d have thought it’d come around so fast! With the start of a new year comes 12 whole months of possibilities, opportunities and good times. We’re going to take a look at some of my thoughts for this year in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
We’re already three days into the new year, who knows what the remaining 362 days have in store, hey? 🤷♂️
The end of one year and the start of another is always a rather introspective time for me. I like to try to take a little bit of time to think back on how things have gone recently: what I’m proud of, what I’m looking forward to, what I need to improve on, and the actionable steps I can take to bring myself to a better version of James Connor Sweeney.
When looking ahead to 2026, I am very excited for what’s to come. Whether it’s my return to the US coming soon (I’ll share more on this in the future), more adventures with friends, seeing more of the world or simply continually becoming a more developed and well-rounded version of myself, there is a lot to look forward to.
I’m not going to pretend that the last couple of years haven’t come with their own challenges, as, of course, they have, and I know there will be more to come as we carry on moving through life. What matters, though, is the mindset we adopt when approaching these moments. You managed to make it through all of the previous ones, and I’m sure that we’ll find a way through whatever tomorrow has in store.
So, as we look ahead, let’s do so with a realistic, positive, and open mind. The last few years have highlighted that, although we may never know what’s coming next, there will be blue sky and sun coming again soon.
By helping each other out and moving forward as a collective, let’s make this year a fantastic one.
All that’s left to say is Happy New Year, everyone, or as we say here in Wales – Blwyddyn Newydd Dda pawb. I hope this year brings you all the happiness and good news that you deserve 🥳
I’ll, of course, be updating you all on how my year goes. I’ve got a couple of plans and ideas in place, so we’ll see how they all work out. No matter what happens, I’m sure there’ll be the classic bit of chaos to help liven everything up that much more 🤣
