A Kitt in the Wild

Good morning 👋

How are you doing today?

A couple of months back, I was in London, having a catch-up with some friends, when I came across one of my friends, Zak’s, products from his business in person. We’re going to take a look at this little story and why we should all support our friends where we can today.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Back in December, I was in London for my final weekend of the year, having a catch-up with two friends, Max and Katie. Max and I had visited some of the Christmas markets in the morning, and then when Katie joined us, we went to look for some bookshops.

After a little while, we decided to grab some food, and Katie recommended we go to the Seven Dials Food Market in Covent Garden. When we were walking in, Katie pointed at something hanging up on the wall…

It was only one of Zak and the Kitt Medical team’s Anaphylaxis Kitts. Here’s some proof, if you need it, that we saw it:

Watching Zak grow over the last couple of years, from Dragon’s Den to every single person he helps educate with his content, has been so lovely to see. He’s someone that genuinely wants to make a positive impact on the world, and uses something that he has struggled with as a vessel to create that lasting positive impact and legacy.

If you haven’t heard of Zak or the Kitt Medical team before, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. While I could chat about how awesome they are, here’s the video from their Dragon’s Den pitch, which aired around a year ago today (where has the time gone?!).

This kind of story perfectly aligns with something I’ve been thinking about a lot over the last couple of months:

We should celebrate our friends more often 🥳

There are so many people like Zak out in the world, doing what they can to make a positive, tangible change to people’s lives. So, here’s your Sweeney reminder – celebrate your friends, share their work (where appropriate), shout them out, tell them you’re proud of everything they’ve done and brought to your life.

We can’t go wrong with spreading a little more positivity where we can, after all.

That’s all for today’s blog. What do you think? Who’s someone you want to celebrate this week? Do they know how much you appreciate them? If not, why don’t you drop them a line and let them know?

I’d love to hear your thoughts 😊

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
