A Sweeney in Baltimore

How are you doing on this fine Saturday?

Last week, I got to fly out to Baltimore for my first-ever time travelling for work, and when I say I had a whale of a time, that is putting it lightly. We’ll take a look at some of why that is in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

If you’d have told me at the start of 2026 that I’d be flying internationally for work in October, I’d have thought that you were winding me up; however, that’s just a part of the craziness I’ve come to love about my current job.

Aidan, Charles, Sydney, and I worked together in person for the first time at the No Boring Brands office, and what a crazy time it was.

Here are some of my highlights ⤵️

🎥 Filming a load of content for clients, our channels and for Illuminate Baltimore’s Instagram – I was a little nervous about this at first, but ended up having such a fun time

🦀 Having what can only be described as a seafood banquet at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood – I’ll 100% be coming back here again

👋 Meeting up with friends, getting to see faces I’ve known virtually in person for the first time, and getting to meet some of Aidan’s friends was such a good time. What a lovely bunch of people to spend some time with

🏌️‍♀️ Trying (and on the most part failing 😂) at my first time playing Topgolf

I could literally go on and on about other things we got up to as well; it’s so tough to only pick a few top moments. This trip was insane, in the best possible way. Above it all, it was lovely to be able to spend some proper time with the guys – NBB to the moon and back, babyyyy.

Here are four of us from the team at an event we got to go to last week – we were only missing Irupe, our fifth member, who sadly couldn’t make it over this time around. I don’t think it’s possible to not have a good time with this lot.

Words don’t do justice to how grateful I am to Aidan for bringing me in to work with this crazy, talented and wholesome bunch. Very lucky to call you a best mate 💙

We’re building something very cool here. We’re currently looking for our sixth full-time member of the team, so keep an eye out for more there. I do want to start chatting a little bit more about what I actually do for work, so leave that with me to think over to.
