Happy New Year Everyone!!

Happy New Year Everyone! As today is New Year’s Eve 2021, today’s blog is going to be Sweeney’s Blogs’ New Year post for 2021! It’s been a weird old year, but we’ve finally made it through, and I for one, am really looking forward to seeing what 2022 has in store for us!

Hello & Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Happy New Year everybody – I hope you all have a lovely day & a fantastic start to the New Year!!

2021 has been a very strange year, to say the least, but at least we have all gotten through it! I still can’t believe that the Covid Pandemic is still with us, but hopefully, it won’t stay around for too much longer & then we’ll find be able to go back to ‘normal’ life again – whatever normal means anyway!

I fully understand that New Year’s Eve may be a weird one again this year, with the lockdown restrictions in place here in Wales, and the usual fireworks in London, unfortunately, being cancelled, but I’m sure it’ll be a good one all the same! I know me & my parents are planning a rather chilled & relaxing night, and in all honesty, I think that’s what we need after the last couple of years.

Looking back over the last 12 months, I can’t believe all the things that have happened – although covid & the lockdowns have been around throughout the year, I’ve still been able to do so many fantastic things that I’ll always remember!! I’ll keep all of my reflective thoughts & feelings for a separate blog, but if this year is anything to go by, then 2022 is going to be crazy!

Next year is also going to mark the end of my time in full-time education, as I’ll be finishing up my undergraduate degree in June/July 2022. After I finish my time at university, then I’ll be heading into the world of work, which despite being scary, I’m sure it’ll be a good laugh too & an experience where I learn so much more about myself, others & the wider world as a whole 🙂

Similar to last week, I know that I usually post blogs on Monday & Saturday on the page, but as it’s going to be New Year’s Day tomorrow, which is a day dedicated to checking in with family, then I thought I’d do the post today, where I have a bit more time! I hope that’s okay, I’ll do my best to go back to the old schedule in the New Year now.

I want to say one final massive thank you for all of the support on the page this year – you’ve all been amazing & I couldn’t thank you all enough! The page continues to go from strength to strength, and I just love to see it!
