Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you’re keeping well 🙂
Last weekend, I travelled to London for what has got to be one of the best trips I have had there so far. We’ll take a look at some of what I did during the weekend in today’s blog, so without further ado, let’s get into it.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
I try to spend a weekend in London every three months or so, as a way to catch up with friends, meet some new people for the first time and generally explore the city. I started doing these trips last year and each one that I have been on has been such a fun and insightful experience.
Here’s some of what I got up to this time around: ⤵️
👉 Friday – I had a lovely catch-up with my friends James and Ollie over a few drinks in Covent Garden. I met both James and Ollie during my time at university and over the years, they have become really close friends to me – I always look forward to catching up with them and seeing how they are getting on with everything
👉 Saturday – my plans changed quite a bit here, so I ended up having a full self-care day, I’ll do a full post on this soon. Although it seemed a little scary at first, I weirdly thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely be doing more things like this soon
👉 Sunday Morning – I met up with the rest of the Undefinable Community Committee – which I am lucky enough to be a part of – for a cracking brunch over in Clapham Common
👉 Sunday Afternoon – a load of us met in Clapham to celebrate my very close friend Charlie’s birthday, playing games, catching up and having a lovely day. I did get pretty sunburnt from the day, however, it was so worth it. Couldn’t have asked to spend a day with better company, everyone who came along was so happy and chatty, and it was awesome to be there for it
👉 Monday – I met my good friend, Aidan, from Baltimore, in person for the first time, which was absolutely phenomenal. Here’s to loads more meet-ups going forward. I will be writing a full post on this on LinkedIn next week and I’ll probably turn it into a blog too, why not!
Looking back, it was such a crazy weekend, however, I couldn’t be happier. I had the ideal mixture of time with friends and some solo time, and the trip overall was exactly what I needed.

I’ve got a very busy few weeks ahead, so let’s see what they have in store. As always, I’ll keep you guys updated with how it all goes and any crazy stories that I experience along the way 👀
That’s all for today’s blog, what do you think? How has your week been? Have you got any exciting plans coming soon?
I’d love to hear your thoughts ⤵️
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
