A Sweeney in London – June 2025…

Good morning,

I hope your day has started off great 🙂

Last weekend, I spent a weekend in London, catching up with friends and making some great memories along the way. We’ll take a look at some of what I got up to in today’s blog.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

I try to get a London trip in the diary every three months or so. A load of my friends live there, so it’s a fab way of catching up with everyone while having a couple of days away from life back home.

Us watching West-End Live on Saturday

Here’s what I got up to on this weekender:

👉 Thursday – I caught up with my friend Joe over a coffee in Golders Green and then with Josh over some Spanish tapas down in Lola’s in Oval, it’s always lovely to see them both!

👉 Friday – I joined my friends Gareth, Jamie, Ryan, Nico and Vanessa for a cracking bit of coworking at Old Sessions House in Farringdon, before heading off for a chilled catch-up with my mate Josh in Finsbury Park.

👉 Saturday afternoon – Molly, Rob, Tom, and I went along to see West-End Live in Trafalgar Square, which was amazing again this year. Rachael Ziegler singing live was just incredible! We managed to see all sorts, from Hamilton to Back to the Future, Les Mis to Phantom, Hadestown, Six and a whole load more.

👉 Saturday evening – 13 of us from the Undefinable Community met up for our monthly Explorations session, either this month’s theme focusing all about “The Confidence Within”. The session delved into moments in life where we did or didn’t feel confident and what they taught us about who we are as people and the journeys that we are each going on.

👉 Sunday – I had long overdue catch-ups with my friends Luke and Ollie, also getting to catch some of the awesome acts at West-End Live again before chilling out in the evening (my social battery needed a recharge at this point 😂)

👉 Monday – Pippa and I met up for some coffee and a lovely walk to start the day at King’s Cross, before I headed to check out my friend Hannah’s new co-working spot (plus have a fab little catch-up while I was there, it’d have been rude not to!) and then caught my train back home to the valleys.

I love my little long weekend breaks to London, I always manage to get so much pencilled in for them – they’re crazy! Here’s to loads more of these to come moving forward.

That’s all for today’s blog. What do you think? How’s your week been? Who’s one person you’re glad to have caught up with lately?

I’d love to hear your thoughts ⤵️

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
