Sweeney’s Blogs Update – June 2021

Good afternoon everyone!!

How’s everybody doing? The last couple of months have flown by so quickly, that I only realised the other day that I have mot done an update-style post for a couple of weeks now, so I decided that today would be the perfect day to do a Sweeney’s Blogs Update for June 2021!

So, let’s take a look at some of the things which have been going on recently!

Hello & Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

How are we in June 2021 already? In all honesty I feel like these last couple of months have absolutely flown by. I’ve said it a few times before, but in lockdown, the days feel like they drag on & on, but the weeks & months don’t have go by quickly. But here we are in June & it’s the perfect time to give you all a bit of an update on some of the things that have been going on recently for me!

The sun is shining brightly here in Reading currently, and we’re going to be starting off my updates with an update on what’s going on with my placement role!

Placement Update

I am currently working as a Communications Co-Ordinator for the University of Reading during my Professional Placement Year. I have absolutely loved working in this role & have learned so much over these last 11 months, and am now entering into the final 3 weeks of my job, until I leave, ready for the next placement student to come in and takeover from me.

I’m not going to lie, I am going to be sad to say goodbye to this role, but I know that I am leaving it in very capable hands, and I am looking forward to going back to university and seeing what the future has in store for me!

I may do a couple of blogs about my placement experience after I finish the role at the end of June, I am not 100% sure yet.

Other Jobs & Work Updates

In regards to my other jobs & work, I have not got too much to be updating you all on here. I am still working as a Changemaker for The Youth Group, a role which I love doing, and can’t wait to watch it grow & develop. I also still have our business partnership with hhruk, although that is on pause for the time being.

Blog Schedule Updates

I have been thinking quite a bit recently over if I am going to up the number of blogs that I do each week post-placement, and I think I am going to more than likely keep it as it is, with me posting 2 blogs a week, one on a Monday, the other on a Saturday.

I may have the odd week where I post 3 posts a week, but for the time being I am keeping it fairly flexible!

Blog Series Update

I have been debating starting another blog series on the page for quite some time now, and I think that it will be the perfect time to do so in a couple of weeks. When I finish my placement role, at the end of June, I will have a lot more time on my hands, so I am thinking that then will be the perfect time to get to work over planning what the next Sweeney’s Blogs series is going to be!

I’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop for what it is going to be!
