Blogging is so rewarding

When I first started Sweeney’s Blogs, I had no idea what to expect, but I am so glad that I took the leap of faith & made the page! Today’s blog is going to be about how blogging, why it’s such a rewarding thing to do & some of the things that it has taught me! 🙂

Hello & Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

I started Sweeney’s Blogs back on February 3rd 2019, and what a crazy ride these last 3 years have been!! The page does not stop going from strength to strength, and I am so grateful to see the page doing so well!

When I was growing up, I didn’t really know what a blog page was, and I did not think for one second that I would find myself writing blogs on a weekly basis as I got older. I decided to start Sweeney’s Blogs off at a time when I was struggling a little bit mentally, and I wasn’t too sure what to do with myself. The original intention for the page was an outlet for my thoughts and feelings – a place where I can share some of the things that truly do matter to me.

From this original ‘thought seed’ grew a much bigger idea & motivation – I wanted to create a blog page that can help & support others, a platform where people can come together and talk about the things that genuinely mean something to them. I never set out to build an individual blog page, I wanted to create a community, and seeing that vision become a reality is such a fulfilling experience.

Sweeney’s Blogs has helped me to learn so much more about myself, society & life as a whole. I feel so fortunate now to be in the position where I write blogs on a page that has been viewed over 30,000 times by people from across the globe – it is just so crazy!!

When I get emails & messages saying that I have genuinely made a difference in somebody’s life – well there is no better feeling. At the end of the day, the blog stats & total-viewer figures are not what is important to me, sure they are nice to see & can be a good way to evaluate the performance of certain posts & topics, but what truly matters to me is making a real difference to people’s lives.

Before I close off today’s blog, I know I say it a lot, but I just want to take a minute to say a massive thank you to each & every one of you that has helped the page along its journey so far. I could not do what I do today without all of the support & advice that I have gotten from so many people – I don’t think that I could thank you all enough!
