Good afternoon everyone,
How’s everybody doing?
Let’s talk about feelings in today’s blog, and how it is completely normal to feel how you are feeling at this moment in time. I feel like life nowadays is moving so quickly, that it can be easy to get swept up in the moment, but taking some time to understand, accept & process how we are feeling can make a huge difference in our lives!
Hello & Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
How are you doing? It’s a question that a lot of us get asked from time to time, but do you take the time to think through how you are really feeling? Or maybe where your mind has been drifting off to lately?

We have recently come out of a massive global pandemic, and it’s 100% natural that life isn’t just going to flip back to normal. If I’m honest, I don’t know if life will ever go back to the way it was, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it just means that a new ‘normal’ will be established, one that will continue to develop & evolve just the way that we do as people & as a society.
The past 3 years have been tough, I’m not going to lie, and while I am really happy that we have all gotten through it, I also recognise the fact that for the large majority of people, we are only at the start of trying to process everything that has happened. It is going to take quite a bit of time in my opinion to process, understand & move past everything that has happened throughout the pandemic, and that’s okay, it’s natural that some things take a little time to heal.

If you add in the current Russia/Ukraine conflict, the Cost of Living crisis in the UK & the international Climate Change concerns, and it’s no wonder that a lot of people are feeling a bit stressed/overwhelmed lately.
No matter what you are feeling at the moment, whether you are happy, sad, excited, scared, or something completely different, that is 100% okay. You are completely in your right to feel what you feel, always remember that your feelings are valid. If you are feeling a little lost, or that you do need some extra support, I would highly recommend asking for help, help is always available for you if you need it.

I feel like going forward, as both individuals & as a society, we need to make more of an effort to acknowledge how we are feeling, and then take the time to understand, process & appreciate our feelings & our thoughts. It may take a little practice getting used to it, but in my opinion, it is definitely worth it for the future. Understanding how you are truly feeling can open up another layer of self-discovery & realisation that you may have never thought possible before.
So, the question arises now, how are you feeling? How are you really doing lately?
That’s all for today’s blog, what do you think? I thought I’d change things up for today’s blog, to help keep things fresh on the page 🙂
