Let’s take a look at this quote, and at the power of potential in today’s blog!

Hello & Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

I have always believed, that as people, we all have an innate potential for greatness. If that potential can be converted into a reality does rely on an array of different factors, but it does exist all the same, wouldn’t you say? This to me raises the question of potential, the infinite battle which exists between what we deem as possible vs what we think is impossible.

Over the last couple of 100 years, we have seen developments & creations that we never before thought possible. If you told someone 600 years ago about some of the things that we can do in modern day society, they would look at you as if you were crazy, no? Surely the same logic here applies to if you told someone from 200 years, or even 100 years about the things that we can do in our lifetimes.

As a society, we are developing at a very rapid speed, and does this show any sign of slowing down in the near future? My answer would be no, as time goes on, we are discovering more & more things, which go on to open the doorways to an unlimited number of potential possibilities.

Surely this again brings up the question of what we are really capable of as the human race. If we look back over the last 22 years (as long as I have been alive) so much has changed already, let alone if we begin to think of all of the developments of the last century and even further back.

Do you ever sit there & think, what is life going to look like in 50 years time? What is the future of society going to be in 100 years? What is going to be the next invention the revolutionizes the world? While all of these are just things you can speculate & debate over, I do really like taking some time to go through them every now & again.

The power of our potential really is such an interesting topic from my point of view. I feel like it is one that you can talk about for hours & hours, yet still would have only just started to scratch the surface of it. The world is constantly developing & changing, and we will continue to evolve & adapt alongside it, who knows what will be possible in 6 months or even a years time, let alone 10-20 years in the future!

But if one thing is for certain, it’s that “The only impossible journey is the one you never begin!”
