Content Schedule Update – April 2020

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s blog is a content schedule blog update for the page! For the past 23 days I have been doing a blog a day but that is now going to be changing! I am going to be reverting back to 2/3 blogs a week for the next few weeks!

I have really enjoyed doing a blog a day and felt like I have covered a lot of different content topics but feel like now is a good time to revert back to the older posting schedule. I have a lot of University work on at the moment and as Exams are just around the corner I want to put myself in the best possible position for them going forward.

Posting every day is something that I wish I could do more of but with the current set up it is just not practical or realistic. I am using the new lockdown time to relax and refocus myself but at the minute it feels like I post at times just for the sake of posting, and that is not what I want to be doing. i want to ensure that all the content that I publish on the page is done to a very high standard and this revised schedule will allow me to do that.

In terms of what content will be released on the page next week, at this current point in time I am thinking of sticking to the active series that I have on the page currently. This means that I am hoping to keep posting new blogs in the “What do we mean by Success?” series as well as in the “Ideas for Lockdown” series. Currently I am not sure how long both series will be, I will have to wait and see what ideas I come up with for them.

If I do find a very good blog that I want to share or I get a guest blog through for the page the schedule can be altered accordingly. If a big event happens that needs a blog too I will change the schedule around to fit that. I will keep everyone updated on what is happening with the page as soon as I know myself and I hope you are all alright with me going back to the old posting schedule. I need to try and focus some more time on myself and my University work and I feel like this solution will allow me to do both whilst also posting good quality content on the page!

That’s all I want to talk about in today’s blog! Thank you all for reading! What do you think? Are you happy to see the old schedule come back? Are there any topics that you want me to write about? Is there a series idea that you have that you want to talk through with me? Let me know your answers to the questions above and any other questions or comments that you may have either through the comments on this blog or through our Facebook page!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Sweeney’s Blogs has over 8,000 views!

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

As of Saturday last week, Sweeney’s Blogs has now passed over 8,000 total views! It is an absolutely amazing milestone for the page and is a great reflection of all the work that we have been doing recently! I started the page back on the 3rd February 2019 and we have already got so many more views than I originally thought possible!

I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who has helped support the page, be that through reading the blogs, writing blogs, commenting on your thoughts on the page and so much more. All the help that I receive on the page is greatly appreciated and ultimately helps make the page better for everyone!

The way that I write blogs has dramatically changed since I started the page and that is all down to experience and learning where I go wrong in the past. Some of my earlier blogs have had a bit of an update recently as I thought I could improve them a little bit and make them more consistent with the rest of the conent!

As I was updating all of my blog series, by giving them all their own pages, I edited a few of the blogs to fix any mistakes that were there or if there was a part that I thought I could write better, I reworded it to make the overall flow nicer!

In terms of what you can expect to see on the page in the next few weeks, I have a lot of content planned. The What do we mean by Success series is still running on the page and will be going for another few weeks. I also started the Ideas for Lockdown series on Saturday and the next blog for that will be coming tomorrow.

I will be starting a few series in the next few weeks/months but at the minute I am not sure which order I am going to release them in. I am looking to start a series about the real life of students where I give a real view of the University experience from someone who has been in the position of a student living away from home. I do have a lot more series ideas that I am thinking of and when I have a definite plan for when they are going to be posted, I will let you all know!

That’s all I want to talk about in today’s blog! Thank you all for reading and I hope you have enjoyed! Thank you all for over 8,000 views too, I really appreciate it! I have done a blog a day for the past 16 days now so we’ll see how long I can keep it going for!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a great day,

Sweeney’s Blogs Spotify Playlist

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s blog is all about the playlist that I have made for Sweeney’s Blogs on Spotify. The playlist has been around a while but I am not sure if people know about it or not. I first made the playlist to have on in the background while I was writing blogs but now it is evolving into something bigger and better.

The playlist is now over 17 hours long and is available for anyone who wants to hear it! Whether you would like it on in the background while you read blogs, go for a run or just while you are chilling out and listening to music, Sweeney’s Blogs playlist is the playlist for you! The playlist is updated every week or so as well so there will always be something new to listen to on there!

You can find the playlist through Spotify by typing in Sweeney’s Blogs or via the following link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0o8E5x2GB0yqct6FlVIhOj?si=ydE2_FzbR7G6oeFFbf0Pfw

When I first made the playlist I mixed a lot of different genres of music as well as music from the 1960s all the way through to now! Hopefully we have sings in there that match everybody’s taste, if we don’t let us know and I will try and add some more!

The playlist is just a little extra thing that I thought would be nice to run alongside the blogs and it is a lot of fun to make! What I like to do when the weather is as nice as it has been recently is just stick the playlist on, connect to a speaker and just relax in the garden, chilling out. With the sun out, music playing and drink in hand, where can you go wrong? The answer is that you can never go wrong!

As with everything I do on this page, feedback and comments are always appreciated. If there is any song/artist that you would like to see me add or remove from the playlist and I will see what I can do! I always aim to keep the playlist as family friendly as possible so everyone can listen to the playlist, regardless of their age!

That’s all I want to talk about in today’s blog! Thank you all for reading! Feel free to check out the playlist if you are interested! We have now had a blog a day on the page for 2 weeks straight! Let’s see how long I can keep it going for! I hope you are all enjoying all of the blogs and new pages that I have been making! Let me know what you would like to see next!

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day,

Sweeney’s Blog Update – April 2020

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

I have not done an update blog on the page for quite some time now and feel like one is now overdue for me to write. One thing that I will always say is that I am always honest about how the page is doing and over the last few weeks we have been hit hard. The Corona Virus has hit so many businesses around the world and unfortunately we are no different there.

Viewing numbers is one of the biggest things that has changed recently. The blogs that are being published are not getting anywhere near the views that they used to get but we will bounce back. I have been planning a lot recently in relation to the future of the page and have a much clearer insight for where we are going to go. The virus has hit us hard but we will hit back harder and better than ever!

I am going to be doing a blog a day on the page for as long as I can during this crisis. So far I am on an Eleven day streak and I hope that I can keep on going for longer! My original thought was to diversify the content so that we are looking at different topics and subjects each day but if there is something that you would like to see me write about, message me or the page and I will see what I can do!

Over this week I have completely refreshed the Blogapedia page and I think that it looks a lot better than it ever has before! Now, each blog series that i have written for the page now has it’s own individual page. This will make it so much easier to navigate through my page and if there is a series that you really enjoyed reading, it is now easier than every to go back and reread!

Blogapedia is available here.

In terms of what series are currently running on the page, we have two active series, the Time to Talk series and the What do we mean by Success series. I am hoping to keep these series going for a while as long as people are enjoying them, want to see more and I have the content ideas planned for each of them. I write all of the blogs for the what do we mean by success series however the Time to Talk series works a little bit different.

My Time to Talk series is a series that is all about guests and readers experiences and stories. If you have an idea for a blog or a story you would like to share, please get in touch and we will see what we can do! If you have every seen or experienced anything in regards to Stuttering, Stress, Mental Health or anything similar then chuck the page a message we will see what we can come up with!

We do now have a page uniquely dedicated to all of the poems that I have written for the page. This page is called Poetry Corner and can be found under the Blogs drop-down list. If you would like to put your feet and relaxing whilst reading a poem then Poetry Corner was made for you!

Poetry Corner is available here.

I am hoping to update my Alzheimer’s Awareness page, Don’t Forget Me, soon but recently I just have not had the time to do so. I have now added a link to Don’t Forget Me to the menu for Sweeney’s Blogs as well so it is a lot easier to find. I will be adding a page for What is Alzheimer’s as well as all of the different support techniques that can be used to help cope with the horrible illness that is Alzheimer’s. I am currently thinking of more pages to add so keep an eye out!

Check out Don’t Forget Me and let me know what you think!

I am still regularly updating the Spotify playlist for the page as well. It now has over 17 hours of Music and covers music ranging from 1960 all the way to now!

Sweeney’s Blogs Spotify Playlist

I always try and add and remove songs when I get time so keep an eye out for some new additions in the coming weeks! If there is any song that you want me to add or remove from the playlist let me know and I will see what we can do!

I am also looking for more guest bloggers for the page so if you know somebody who may be interested, let me know! The actual blogs can be about absolutely anything, I don’t mind! We cover so much on this page already and I am always happy to explore new topics. If you have an idea or a story that you think could make an interesting read then message me!

That is all I want to talk about in today’s blog! The page has been hit quite hard for the virus but there is no need to worry, we will come back from this being better than ever! There is going to be a lot more content coming to the page over the next few weeks so I hope you are all looking forward to it! We are also going to be expanding onto new blog topics and themes as well as a new style of blog so I hope you are looking forward to it!

If anybody has any questions or queries that they would like me to answer let me know either on this page on through our Facebook page and I will reply as soon as I can! All comments and feedback are greatly appreciated and if you have any changes that you would like to recommend for the page let me know and I will see what we can do!

Thank you all for reading and I hope everyone is doing alright in the lock-down. If anybody needs someone to talk to you can always message me. I am always around and will try and help if I can!

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Being Different Series

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s blog is all about the new page that I have made for my Being Different blog series!Similar to how we have updated both the Alzheimer’s Acceptance and Alzheimer’s Avoidance series, the Being Different series has now had a big update to it! I much prefer the new page to what it used to be in the Blogapedia, let me know what you think!

Being Different page.

I am slowly making my way through every series in the Blogapedia and giving them all their own pages! The transition process does take a while for me to do so I do apologize for the time that it takes to amend and update. As the Being Different series was the second series that I ever did on the page, I have needed to make some amendments to the page to make it more coherent with the rest of my work. The blogs are now all a bit longer and contain a lot more content that they used too! I hope you all enjoy the newly updated blogs!

To find the new page is simple. You can either find it by pressing the link above or you can go over to the Blogs drop-down list, hover over Blogapedia and you can find it there. Alternatively you can go straight to the Blogapedia page and find it there. All of the series that I write on the page are on the Blogapedia so if you are looking for something new to read, check it out!

Blogapedia is available here.

So what is the Being Different Series?

The Being Different series was the second series that I every wrote for the page and is all about why Being Different is something to be proud of, not ashamed of. The series focuses on the positive side of Being Different whilst also bringing in what Being Different actually means and the affect that it can have on your life.

I have edited a few of the blogs again recently to make sure that they are a lot more relevant and have a lot more content in them that they already had. Although they have been edited the original message that I wanted to portray through the series still stands and the actual purpose of each blog hasn’t changed at all.

The first blog in the series acts as an introduction to the series, talking about what we hope to cover through the series. The second blog goes into detail about what being different is and compares Oxford Dictionaries definition of what being different is to one that I made myself. The third blog in the series takes a look at the positive side of being different and how difference is a good thing and is something that we should embrace.

The fourth blog in the series takes a different approach and talks about how you can see yourself change though the years through a mirror. In this blog we talk about even though the way you see the world may change, the person that you are inside does not need to change. The fifth blog is the last blog in the series and acts as a series summary, talking about everything we covered in the series.

That is all I want to talk about in today’s blog! I hope you have all enjoyed! What do you think? Are you going to read the Being Different series? Should I bring the series back? Are you enjoying the new pages coming to Sweeney’s Blogs? What page would you like to see next? Let me know what you think of these questions and any other comments you have either in the comments below or via our Facebook page!

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Alzheimer’s Avoidance Series

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s post is all about the new page that I have created for my Alzheimer’s Avoidance series! Similar to yesterday’s blog about the Alzheimer’s Acceptance series being updated, I have now managed to update the Alzheimer’s Avoidance series as well! I think the page looks great and would love to hear what you think of the new addition to the Sweeney’s Blogs page!

Alzheimer’s Avoidance page

This new page marks the second change for my Blogapedia page. I am going to continue making new pages for each series that I have written for the page and each time I make a new page I will also update the Blogapedia. Instead of having a link to every blog in each series, the Blogapedia will now provide a link to each blog series’s page on the site and will give a short description about the series and will give an inkling into what I cover throughout each series on the page. A more in-depth blog about the changes will be coming in the future, so keep an eye out!

To find the new page you have to go under the Blogs drop-down list and then you can find it under the Blogapedia drop-down. This is where all of the series pages are going to go once I have finished them.

Blogapedia is available here.

So, What is the Alzheimer’s Avoidance series?

A conceptual look at Alzheimers disease, and some of the problems it brings.

The Alzheimer’s Avoidance series is designed to discuss different methods and techniques to reduce your chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease. In the series we take a look at techniques such as solving puzzle games, doing regular exercise, having a good social life and so many more to see firstly what they are and secondly how they reduce your chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease.

A point that I emphasize throughout the series is that although these techniques have been said to lower your chance of getting Alzheimer’s, they cannot guarantee that you will not get it. I would love to use a magic wand to get rid of illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia but sadly I cannot. So instead I provide a range of things that we can try and do in our daily life to help reduce the risk of getting such horrible illnesses.

When you read through all of the techniques and methods you will find that they are very good for your health in general, not just for Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Things like regular exercise and learning a new language can work wonders for both your Physical and Mental Health and you may find that they help reduce your risk of getting other illnesses too.

That’s all I wanted to talk about in today’s blog! Thank you all for reading! What do you think of the new page? Are you enjoying all of the blogs recently? What sort of content do you want to see on the page? Are you going to check out our new Alzheimer’s Avoidance page? Let me know what you think of these questions as well as any other thoughts or queries you may have in the comments below or through our Facebook page.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day,

Alzheimer’s Acceptance Series

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Have you all seen our new Alzheimer’s Acceptance page? If not then go and check it out! The page is all about the Alzheimer’s Acceptance series which was one of the first blog series I wrote on the page. The Alzheimer’s Acceptance page can be found under the Blogapedia drop-down list, which can be found under the Blogs drop-down!

Alzheimer’s Acceptance page

The Alzheimer’s Acceptance page marks the start of the long list of changes that are going to be coming to the Blogapedia page on my site. I have always wanted to change the Blogapedia page but was never really sure what to do until now. There will be a more in-depth blog on this in the next few days but to cut a long story short each blog series that I have written on the page will be getting it’s own separate page on the site.

If you do what to see what the newer page looks like please click the link above. The Alzheimer’s Acceptance is still in the Blogapedia page too so take a look at the new design using the link below. It will be happening to every series in the Blogapedia when I get a chance!

Blogapedia is available here

So, what exactly is the Alzheimer’s Acceptance series?

The Alzheimer’s Acceptance series is the first series that I ever created on the page and as you can imagine from the name is all about helping people to accept what Alzheimer’s is, the effect it can have on the person with the condition as well as the effect it can have on that persons friends and family.

The series mixes both informative blogs as well as personal stories to give a real view on how Alzheimer’s can affect you and your loved ones. I share a story about the first time my grandmother forgot who I was to show, even though it hurts a lot, Accepting Alzheimer’s is something that we all need to try and do in life. Accepting the condition allows us to process it and plan how we are going to adapt and help the person suffering.

As well as the little story that I write, I do go through how I learned to accept Alzheimer’s in the fourth blog in the series. It was quite hard to write at the time for me as I found it a very emotional topic to discuss but I kept on going as I felt like the message was a really important one to portray and show people.

That’s all I want to talk about in today’s blog! What do you all think? Do you like the new Alzheimer’s Acceptance series? Are there any changes that you want to see come to my page? What do you think of Alzheimer’s Acceptance? Have you had to accept that someone has Alzheimer’s before? How did you do it? Did you find it difficult? Let me know what you think either in the comments below or on our Facebook page.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a great day!

We’ve Passed 7,000 Views!

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Last week we passed 7,000 views! That is an incredible milestone for the page to hit and I could not be happier with the progress that we are making! We have been running for over a year now and growth seems to be increasing more and more each week! If this carries on we will be well on our way to hitting 15,000 views by the end of the year!

To commemorate hitting 7,000 views, I have drastically changed the layout of the page. The Blogapedia page has now been moved to the dropdown list Blogs, which has a few pages inside. The Blogapedia still acts as a hub for all of the series that I run on the page and will be updated each time a new series blog is released.

The Blogs page itself will act as a highlight page for the blog page itself. In the page, you can find blogs that I recommend reading, the most informative blogs on the page, the most popular posts and much much more! This page will be updated regularly and will hopefully give new readers a great place to start reading blogs!

We now have a page for all of the poems that I have written on the page! This page is called Poetry Corner and acts as a showcase for the poems that I have written and for ones that are still in production! Each poem will have a photo and short description with it and a link back to the original poem post! hope you all enjoy all of the poems!

Thank you all for reading and a massive thank you for getting us to 7,000 views! I have some great ideas in relation to the future of the page so keep an eye out for some new developments! We are smashing through milestones this year so let’s keep this trend going and see where we end up!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you all have a great day!

Sweeney’s Blogs is Over 1 Years Old!

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

On the 3rd February 2020, Sweeney’s Blogs turned 1 years old! I cannot believe how much we have achieved in only the first year that we have been running and the difference that we have made and hopefully will continue to make in peoples lives. I have tonnes of ideas and plans in the place for the next year and hopefully we will continue to grow and expand into an even more successful second year!

In our first year we have already had over:

  • 6,800 Total Views
  • 134 Blog Posts
  • 81 Total Followers
  • 366 likes on our Facebook Page

As you can see from the stats above, we have had an amazing year! Going forward, especially with our partnership with HHRUK, I hope to see these stats continue to grow as we expand and develop more and more content, blogs and courses aimed around Stuttering, Stress and Mental Health.

I am also still looking for some guest bloggers for the page so if you are interested please let me know. In regards to the content i am looking for, it can be absolutely anything you want. If you want to write one post every week or one every 6 months that is completely fine! If you have any ideas for blogs or stories chuck me a message and we’ll discuss it further.

I would just like to say a massive thank you for all of the help and that I have received on the page. The page would be nowhere near where it is now without all of you readers, all of the ideas given to me by readers and the advice and support I have received in starting the page. As always i am happy to talk about anything with my readers, within reason, and if you want to have a discussion on any topics that I write about, it is something that I would love to see more of.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you have an amazing day!

Time to Talk Series Update

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s blog is going to be a shorter blog than usual talking about what I am planning on doing with the new Time to Talk series. I have wanted to do a series like the new Time to Talk one for quite a while now and wanted to run it a little bit different to how I usually run my series. The traditional way that I run my blog series is by doing a new blog for them each week, with the Time to Talk series, I am hoping to tackle it a little bit differently.

The wole purpose of the series is to share peoples stories regarding Stuttering, Stress and Mental Health. What I feel like would be best would be to post this a new blog in this series each time I get a new story through. In order to do this I am always looking for some new stories. If you have an experience or story you would like to share about when you have either seen or experienced anything to do with Stuttering, Stress or Mental Health then please get in touch with me!

All stories will be appreciated, no matter how big or small. It would actually be better to have some longer and some shorter stories as it diversifies the content even more, hopefully reaching out and helping more people! If you have an idea for a story and want some help writing it, please get in touch too, I am always happy to help write or even write the story based off of your idea, giving you the credit if you want it.

If you have a story and are worried about using your name going on it too we can sort that out. I am more than happy to make the writer anonymous, if that is what you wish. The important thin with the blog/story is thr message and lessons that can be learned from it. Even if you think that a story doesn’t have a lesson to it, there is always a way of finding one.

As stated previously there will most probably not be a new blog in this series every week. I will upload one when I have a story sent through and checked it through quickly. This series is all down to audience participation so if you think you have a good story, please share it. You can make a massive difference to somebody’s life!

Thanks for reading and I hope this has cleared up a few questions people have been asking!

For the blogs, there will be a new blog every 2-3 weeks covering topics such as Stuttering, Stress and Mental Health, similar to what we do on this page. The courses will cover similar content as to what is covered on the blogs however will be in more depth than the blog posts.

I’m 21 Years Old Today!

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today, Monday, January 14th 2020, is my 21st birthday! I was born back in 1999 and I cannot believe how fast time is going! I have been thinking about how to do this blog for a while and think that I am going to use this post to go through some of my biggest and proudest achievements to date.

  1. Starting Sweeney’s Blogs!

Although I only started this page back in February 2019, it has become one of my biggest accomplishments! We have covered so many topics already and this is only the start! We smashed all of the goals I set last year and are branching out to more and more people each day! I am so proud and grateful for everything that the page has done and all I can say is thank you for all the help I have gotten over the year! We still have a long way to go but what a start to the page!

2.  My Charity Skydive for The Alzheimer’s Society!

One of the maddest and best things I have done in my life has got to be the 12,000 feet Charity Skydive I did for The Alzheimer’s Society back in October 2019! It was a huge jump for me, ( sorry I couldn’t help myself!), and to raise money for a great cause whilst doing it was even better! We managed to raise over ÂŁ900 in the end and it was a great day out! I will be doing a blog on it sometime this year so keep an eye out!

3. Coming to the University of Reading!

Coming to University was one of the biggest steps I have taken in my life. The majority of people I spoke to before coming up told me that I wouldn’t last living away from home and that I would drop out in the first few weeks but didn’t I prove them wrong! Working closely with Henley Careers has been amazing too! I even managed to get a blog on their blog page!

Meeting all sorts of new people at University has also been amazing! My flatmates in the first year of university are absolutely incredible people! Meeting great people from all walks of life on both the Computer Science side as well as the Business side of my course has also been great!

4. My jobs as a Lifegurd and Swimming Teacher

I have been a Lifeguard and Swimming Teacher for over 3 and a half years now. It has been an amazing experience for me and I have learned lots of different transferable skills. Being able to teach, advice, help and support people in and out of the pool is a great experience to be a part of and has helped me meet people from all different walks of life.

And so much more! When I first started writing this list I was going to make it a lot longer than it actually is. I only stopped because I noticed that as I was typing more and more ideas were coming to my head and if i carried on then you’d be reading for hours! Instead I am going to make blogs like this every so often as like a recap blog, letting you know what I’ve gotten up to.

Unfortunately the last blog in the Alzheimer’s Avoidance series will not be released this week. I was soriginally going to do it today but due to lack of time, I have not been able to do it. It will be coming next week though so keep an eye out!

Thanks for reading!

Don’t Forget Me -Update News

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s blog is all about my Alzheimer’s Awareness page, Don’t Forget Me. Don’t Forget Me was the first website that I ever created and is a website that I hand-coded myself. I am going to be converting the website from a hand-coded page to a WordPress hosted site. By converting the page, it will be a lot easier to update and manage the page as well as track how it is doing, performance-wise.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with my page. Don’t Forget Me was a website that I first created for a project as part of my HNC Computing and Information Systems. After completing the project I decided to keep the page going and I was going to try and update it as much as I could. I decided to make an Alzheimer’s Awareness site as my grandmother has severe Alzheimer’s and I wanted to help families going through similar things to what mine has gone through/are yet to go through.

I ran into a few problems with the old page as I was limited in updating it to my knowledge of HTML, CSS, JQuery and JavaScript. Due to differing workloads, I did not have time to update the site as much as I would have liked. Now as the page will be on WordPress I will be able to update the site as and where I need to. It will be much easier to tailor content to what people need and want to see and will also look a lot better.

I am not 100% sure of all the content that is going to be on the page yet as it is still a working progress. What I can tell you is that there is going to be a page on what is Alzheimer’s, a page on support techniques and a page on where you can go to get help, among others. I am working towards getting the original URL for Don’t Forget Me over to this page but it is going to take a few days.

Here is the link for Don’t Forget Me: https://www.dontforgetme.org.uk/

This link will take you to the old page until the update has passed through and it has been updated to the new page. If you want to see the old page for a few more times it will be available through the link above. If you want to see it after that get in touch with me and I’ll happily send you the other link!

That’s all I want to talk about in today’s blog! What do you all think? Are you excited about the new changes coming to Don’t Forget Me? Is there any content that you want to see on the page? Is there anything you don’t want to see? Let me know what you think of these questions and any other thoughts you have in the comments or through our Facebook page, Sweeney’s Blogs or Don’t Forget Me!

2019, What a Year for the Page!

2019, an incredible year for Sweeney’s Blogs! I started in February 2019 and the progress and milestones that we have already passed are absolutely amazing to see, and provide lots of promise as to the future of the page! Today’s blog is going to take a look at some of the best achievements we made in 2019, some of the blogs we covered and what we hope to do going forward, I hope you enjoy the blog!

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

I started this page in February 2019 and we have already done so well. As of the 1st January 2020, we have achieved:

  1.  Over 5100 views!
  2.  Over 350 likes of our Facebook Page!
  3.  Over 900 comments on the page!
  4.  116 Blog posts!
  5.  82 Followers on the page!

As you can see from the points above the page has been doing incredibly well and I am really happy with the progress. I set a goal at the start of the year of 5,000 views thinking that I would never be able to do it and we managed to get over 5100 in the end! I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who reads the posts on the page. Whether you have read 1 or 100 of the posts, thank you for your time and energy and welcome to the community! The page wouldn’t be where it is today without its readers so a massive thank you to all of you!

We have also covered a vast array of different topics on the page over the past year! Ranging from individual blogs, podcast reviews reblogs of other bloggers posts and finally the blog series we have run, the content that we have talked about on the page is enormous. If you haven’t checked out any of our series yet you can access them through this link, https://sweeneysblog.com/blogapedia/, or by clicking on the blogapedia tab.

  3. Alzheimer’s – Mainly through my Alzheimer’s Awareness and Alzheimer’s Avoidance series.
  4. Being Different and how that is a good thing through the Being Different series
  5. Positivity and Motivation
  6. Mental Health as a whole
  7. How to balance stress and life
  8. Adaptability

Plus much much more!

2019 was a great year for us and that is only touching on a few things that we have in the works! I have a business deal that the page has which I cannot wait to share with everyone, we are going to start launching courses in business doing talks on Stuttering, Stress and Mental Health and of course, we are going to have a lot more blogs coming, covering content both far and wide!

Looking for Guest Bloggers!

Do you have an idea for a blog or maybe even a blog series that you want to share? Do you want to write for a page but not have the hassle of setting a page up? Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life? Here at Sweeney’s Blogs, we have the offer for you, become a guest blogger and start making a difference straight away!

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

Today’s blog is all about guest blogs. I am looking for people to write blogs for the page coming into the new year. Blogging can be a really great way to share stories and experiences as well as create a community in which people can communicate openly with each other. Whether you want to write one or one hundred posts, you are more than welcome to write for the page!

In regards to what to write about, you can write about absolutely anything. The perks of owning a page aimed at Stuttering, Stress and Mental health is that it links to everything and anything in life! If you have an idea for a post that you want to write yourself or that you want me to write then let me know! I’m always happy to talk through ideas and blog possibilities!

The only thing I do say is that I obviously read through each post before it is published. This is just to make sure that it flows and that there are no mistakes. I will more than likely put it through Grammarly too but there’s no problem there! If for some reason a change would need to be made then I would check with you first before publishing!

It’s a really great process to be a part of and the blogs can be as long or short as you want, what’s not to like! Let me know if you’re interested and we’ll discuss it further!
