Happy New Year, Everyone! 🎉

Hope you’re having a wonderful start to 2025 🙂

As the clock struck midnight and 2024 came to an end, I found myself taking some time to reflect on what was an incredible year. Each New Year feels like a fresh chapter, filled with limitless opportunities, people and adventures that have yet to be discovered. Before we turn the page, it’s worth pausing to appreciate the journey that got us here.

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

For me, 2024 was all about stepping into the unknown, embracing new experiences, and stepping outside of my comfort zone. It was my self-proclaimed “Year of Firsts,” and looking back, it certainly did live up to the name. Here are some of my highlights:

📅 Embracing the unexpected – From last-minute plans to unanticipated challenges, 2024 taught me the value of flexibility and embracing whatever comes my way. Sometimes the unplanned moments lead to the most rewarding experiences.

🚗 Four weekends away with the Undefinable Community – From Hereford to Suffolk, camping at South Downs to a lovely trip down to Devon, it’s been a crazy year to be a part of the community. We’ve come such as long way, making some fantastic plans for the future

🗣️ Public Speaking – It was brilliant to return to the Henley Business School, where I studied as a student to help inspire a new batch of students. Public speaking is something that I haven’t really done too much of yet, however, am really looking forward to doing more heading into the future

🛫 Solo trip to Porto – Flying to a different country by myself for the first time, while being a little terrifying at first, was an absolutely insane experience. Tasting port, exploring the city and speaking to people from all walks of life was something that I will be eternally grateful for

As I look ahead to 2025, I’m filled with a load of gratitude and curiosity. There’s so much more to discover, learn, and experience, and I can’t wait to continue growing alongside some truly incredible and inspiring people. Whether you’re stepping into the new year with big resolutions or just looking to take things one day at a time, know that every step counts.
