Gooood morning π
How are you doing?
The weekend before last, 11 of us from the Undefinable Community travelled to Suffolk for our Autumn retreat. We’ll be taking a look at some of what we got up to, and some other Sweeney reflections in today’s blog.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
This trip was my 12 retreat with the Undefinables – haven’t been to four a year for the past three years. The time really has flown by. Why this is particularly poignant is because the venue we went to this time was, in fact, the same one we went to back on my 2nd. Here’s a flashback to then:

Each one of our weekends away has a range of tasks all based around one of the shared values we have as a group, with this one being around Purposeful Action.
Now usually, in these blogs, I’d break down all we got up to and my highlights from the trip. While I could do this, I want to switch things up a little bit this time around.
During this weekend, I had an activity all about looking back, which I might do a full blog about in the near future, but essentially, this is what has helped me come up with my idea today. Reflecting on the last two and a half years since we were at this place last, so much has changed.

The last two years have brought new jobs, incredible friendships, opportunities I never imagined, and a much deeper understanding of who I am. This hasn’t always been an easy road to travel down, but it’s one I took all the same.
I’m often someone who loves to focus my time on acknowledging and shouting out others. While that’s great, I sometimes forget my own progress. Looking back, I’m blooming proud of how far I’ve come, and that feels awesome to say.
Who knows, maybe in another two years, we’ll head back to the same place again, and I’ll get to see what’s happened over another 24 months?

With all of this in mind, I have a challenge for you today:
Take a couple of minutes, when you can, and think back on the last few years – what’s one thing you’re very proud of doing personally, and why?
I know this is a bit different to my usual event/holiday wrap-up post, but you know me; I do like to mix things up where I can. I do feel like I haven’t spoken too much about the Undefinables on here for a little while – maybe I’ll add a few blogs about them to my plan for the next few weeks.
Anyways, I reckon we can consider this trip complete and a job very well done – onto the next one π
I’d love to hear what you think.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
