Three Months at No Boring Brands βœ…

Gooood morning πŸ‘‹

How are you doing today?

Towards the middle of June 2026, I started working with one of my best mates, Aidan, and the team at No Boring Brands. After three months, it’s pretty safe to say that so much has happened, even though this is only the beginning of some awesome things to come.

And that’s what we’re going to be taking a look at in today’s blog. Let’s get into it πŸ’ƒ

Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!

“James. You have absolutely levelled up this business.”

That’s one of the super-kind things Aidan shared with me during my three-month review a couple of weeks ago. When I started with the guys back in June, I had no idea what to expect. 12 weeks later, that hasn’t changed, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Here we all are during one of our daily meetings (Charles had to be golfing for a video we were filming πŸ˜‚)

I love the craziness that this wacky and talented team brings to each day πŸ•Ί

I do really want to start chatting more about the different parts of my role and the kind of work I do, but that’s more for a few future blogs, as I think it’ll be better to keep this blog on the route we’ve been taking up to now.

From kickstarting No Boring Brands’ new UGC programmes (which stands for User Generated Content, more to come on that in a blog soon) to helping with oru new website and rebrand, filming content to bringing in new ideas to make clients as happy as possible, it’s been a wild old ride so far.

Don’t you worry, I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.

One of the things that this job has been especially great for is restoring my confidence – both in myself and in the work that I do.

The last 18 months or so have been pretty sporadic when it comes to the marketing world, with a lot of people not feeling very secure in their positions. I’ve experienced this a lot personally, including being made redundant last year, and my most recent role, prior to this one, of course, came to a close due to client turnover amidst struggling times.

It’s easy when things like this start to happen to let them get to you. On the whole, I’m very good at bouncing back from these situations, but I didn’t realise how much I needed a stable role until I fully started working in this one.

This is an area I have spoken about occasionally with you all, but it is one that I should probably write a bit more about moving forward – we’ll see where we go there. I’ll have a think and will see what comes to mind 😎

With a big US trip that I’m planning for 2026, and a lot more on the cards, there’s one thing that’s for sure – this is only going to get bigger and better. More to come on all of that soon, though (no spoilers here).

For now though, happy Monday, thanks a lot for reading, and I hope you have a fantastic week ahead!

That’s all for today’s blog. What do you think? What’s something that’s made you laugh recently? What’s something somebody has done for you that’s really made you feel seen in life?

I’d love to hear what you think 😌

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
