Good morning π
How are you doing so far today?
I’m delighted to share that I’m currently working on some pieces for the stuttering charity, STAMMA. This is what we’ll be doing a little dive into in today’s blog – so, let’s get into it.
Hello and Welcome to Sweeney’s Blogs!
I’ve had a stutter for as long as I can remember, and it’s been something I’ve been very open with you all about, both here on Sweeney’s Blogs and over on my LinkedIn. So, when an opportunity comes to carry on raising awareness, you can’t really turn it down π€

I’ve always been aware of a number of charities working with the stuttering space; however, for whatever reason, I haven’t thought to actually reach out to them and see if they’d be interested in receiving an article from me on a given topic.
Well, I decided to change that last week, and after dropping one of their team members a message, they were super up for receiving some pieces.
When I originally envisioned writing for them, I was going to talk about some stories and experiences that have happened in my life previously, but then I had a new idea come to mind. What if instead of digging into the past, I focused more on the present and how I’ve been doing with settling into my new job – which is exactly what I’m going to be doing.

I haven’t written the pieces yet, so I’m not fully set on which direction they’re going to take, but it’s deffo something I’ll keep you guys in the loop about when I know more. I’m super looking forward to getting stuck into it this week and heading into the near future.
Watch this space! I’m hopefully going to be working on at least three articles, so you can be sure there’ll be some updates to share when they’re finished and are scheduled to go live.
Until then, though, thanks a lot for being a part of the journey – I couldn’t be doing this without you guys in my corner.
If you have any ideas for stuttering-related articles that you’d be interested in seeing from me, be sure to let me know π
Thanks a lot for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
