Happy New Year!

2020 has felt like, for many, a never-ending maze of confusion and disruption, however, all of that will soon be over. As New Years Eve is just a couple of days away, and with that the start of 2021, a large majority of people will use these next few days to evaluate over the last 12 months. Whether you would like to reflect over the past, look to the future, or do a combination of the both, it’s safe to say 2020 was far beyond what anyone could have predicted.

My Hopes for “My Beautiful Stutter”

I was scrolling through my Facebook feed during my lunch hour earlier on this week and a trailer for a film called “My Beautiful Stutter” showed up on my suggested posts. Up to know, I hadn’t heard of many films that were made to address the issue of Stuttering, apart from the odd exception such as The King’s Speech, or The Waterboy, so it is safe to safe that I was very intrigued on how they were going to go about doing it.

I have not been able to actually watch the film itself yet, but in today’s blog we are going to look at some of my hopes and aspirations as to what this film can do for the Stuttering Community and for the stigma that surrounds Stuttering as a whole.

Choosing Joy Over Despair — WILDLY FREE ELDER

“Yet, within the wounds, rather like the tree in the image above, there is new growth and opportunities to re-frame our perspective and turn our attention to moments of joy and small pleasures. New growth that finds its compost from what has died or changed, and leaves us with clarity, a new found direction and hope. A perspective coming from interconnection – not separation. “

The Importance of Screen-Free Time

Lockdown, caused by the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, has brought alongside it a tidal wave of disruption to the way in which we live our day to day life. The way that we travel, work, socialise, relax and more have had to undergo major changes, due to the virus, and it has resulted in a lot of confusion for a vast number of people, as they try and adopt to this new situational “norm”.

Today we are going to be looking at the importance of having some Screen-Free Time where we can.

A few reflections about inner balance – The Good Vibes Revolution

Claudia's avatarPress of Positivity

We are constant wanderers. Both on the inside and outside. We find hard to concentrate on a task for more than a few minutes and we feel the need to escape our routine when it becomes too much.

We are connected with and deeply influenced by the environment that surrounds us.

Everything that happens around us has the power of lifting us up or pulling us down and influencing our mood. We may feel nervous, anxious, happy, joyful, stressed, according to the people that surround us and the events we come across during the day.

What if we start believing that our inner world may actually change our surroundings? If we try to look…
